A 1946 fish processing plant turned into modern vacation rentals

“In 2014, we bought an old, long-abandoned house in Hopen and slowly brought it back to life.

What started as a renovation became a way to share the place we fell in love with — its raw nature, quiet beauty, and sense of space.

Hopen sits between Henningsvær and Kabelvåg, two of Lofoten’s most well-known villages. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area, with both nature and local life close by.

 

The property includes three fully furnished apartments and The Basement — a newly renovated space with an industrial kitchen, fireplace, and a long dining table for gatherings of up to 16 people.

 

Guests stay in modern, well-equipped spaces, surrounded by quiet and open landscapes.

    Lofoten apartment was perfect! Peaceful location, spacious, wide terrace, not to forget the spectacular views from living room and bedrooms. The sauna has a stunning view and a staircase to Northern sea was just the perfect cherry of the cake. The kitchen was clean and very well equipped, and the bathroom even had diffuser for hair dryer!

  • Spectacular Location

    Stunning place - wouldn't change a thing! Each window of the apartment has an amazing view with quiet surroundings and a big terrace looking out over the fjord where we saw eagles and herons. You can rent kayaks and The Sauna, with free access to the fire pit outside and a fireplace inside. The sauna is wonderful with a view overlooking the mountains and fjord, where you can cool off.
